Sadly passed away at the incredibly young age of 46. Only played about 30 games for Palace, When he broke through I thought he was a really good prospect for the future and was quite disappointed when we sold him. RIP

how terrible, such a young age. Recently noticed that David Whyte (played for CPFC a few years earlier) also passed away at a very young age. It amazes me that people who are so fit can have (i guess) underlying health issues. RIP JV

Wow very sad indeed... I remember him coming through into the 1st team and fair play he went on to carve a decent career out for himself with Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Derby to name a few. I actually played against him in a Sunday league Cup final about 8 or 9 years ago. He was playing left back and was still quality!! I actually felt quite proud to be playing against him. RIP Jamie. So sad.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

RIP JV Reports are that Jamie Vincent died due to a cardiac arrest, cannot find any information about the cause of David Whyte's death.

Looked very promising when he broke through. Very sad.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

RIP JV What with Erikson and other finely tuned athletes I wonder if the constant fine tuning of the body and pushing it to the limit of its physical prowess puts a strain on the heart to compensate RIP Edited by Slimey Toad (19 Jan 2022 8.40am)

just read the news about this. Very sad. One of the first breed of youngsters that I saw come through, albeit I was an even younger youngster at the time so he would have seemed like a fully grown man.
