Martin 2142 is quite right but opening the bars and food outlets and having TV on was ridiculous it encourages people to hang about rather than go to seats .

It will all be moot soon its inevitable that we will have very limited or no crowds very very soon

Hi all, just a heads up, went to the Southampton game on Wednesday took all reasonable precautions but have been hit by covid, couldn't have caught it anywhere else as I've not been anywhere, I sit in block w of the Arthur and had a pint in the concourse, just feels like a cold at the moment so here's hoping, but anyone who was in the Arthur and has cold like symptoms please get tested.

But but if you have a covid pass you shouldnt be catching it......

Hope you feel better soon anyway! I was fine after some lemsip and solpadein!

Vaccine does not give 100% immunity , It does reduce dramatically chances of catching Covid .It is less effective against current variant but a booster will improve your chances of not catching the bug and any vaccine likely to reduce the severity of the disease if you get it.

Talk to those in the front line in NHS , majority of hospitalised cases not vaccinated at all.

This is my point! We should be doing covid tests regardless of our covid vaccination status! A fully vaccinated person who has not tested for covid and who is positive can enter the stadium with thier covid pass and then transmit or spread to everyone else! A simple test before the came would have stopped this?! Would you at least agree on this?

Fair point re test. Lateral flow registered on morning of game. As always you can cheat but most people decent. As somebody has said people using screen shots of passes.
I was boosted early November and still caught but symptoms barely noticeable.

I did a test just before the Aston villa game back in November! Didint have any symptoms at the time and it came back positive! So I skipped the game and got a PCR to confirm. After about 2 days I got symptoms and was sick for the week! (11 days isolation then)

Just doing this test while I waited for the kettle to boil for a coffee that morning I stopped spreading it to people on the train, in the railway bar beside selhurst station and then of course the stadium and then after pints! Oh and I had winter wonderland booked!

I just feel this is the way to get out of the pandemic! Regular testing regardless of covid status! Cases will start to go down etc... I mean how many people could I have potentially passed it onto that day!

Anyways this was not aimed at the original poster just in general! Just needed it off my chest! And I do hope you get better soon! :-)

I thought l pulled a muscle in my groin only woke up with serve headache and temperature on Sunday morning. Took a test yesterday and it was positive. I always do a test before all matches the last against Southampton and it was negative, l was aching that night to but carry on. Now have to isolate until 29th December unless my PCR confirm its negative. Even if it's l want be going back to Football this year l need time to recover.
