Yep he was great. Not sure he's got the same engine as Macca but truthfully he's a class above on the ball - a really metronomic passer who almost invariably finds his man. He's a great fit for receiving the ball from the back and recycling it even if the press is less aggressive in midfield. A good summary. He's had a couple of lovely touches and turns to get himself out of tight spots - we need press-resistant players like that if we're to play such a progressive style. As much as I like him, Kouyate looks like he's about to sh*t himself every time an opposition player is within 6 yards of him.

His in swinging corner kicks are pretty useful too, another area where we never seemed to capitalise on.
