This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

As you say, not one of the first players you think of from that team, but a good player in a brilliant team, won a few England caps as well

RIP

Not really the first name you'd think of as a player of that era. But his haul of trophy's is very impressive indeed. Both at Arsenal and Liverpool.

I disengage, I turn the page.

I thought his career was cut short by MS.

A fine player for club and country.

RIP Ray Kennedy

Parkinson's is what got him.
He suffered young with it poor chap.
Great player and always seemed a decent man.
Very sad.

A wonderful footballer, highly respected by fans of two of our greatest clubs, and the rest of us who were fortunate enough to see him play.

So awful that he spent half his life in the shadow of Parkinson’s disease.

Not sure he was well served by his former clubs or his union and seriously struggled financially on top of his illness - RIP Ray.

underrated - a real class act. Souness, Kennedy, Mc Dermott, Case (or Lee) is one of the great midfield quartets, like Keane, Becks, Scholes, Giggs or Bemner, Giles, Lorimer, Gray. Fantastic athlete and he had an elegance about his play that only great players posess.

He was surprisingly elegant for such a strong player. According to Wiki he was originally signed by Port Vale but Stanley Matthews released him thinking him too slow. The same article lists him as 5’11” - he looked taller than that.

Written and preserved in Liverpool FC legend that many a future generation will learn from and aspire to meet by way of outstanding playing talent on the pitch.
