I am ashamed to admit I had no idea he was in the England U17 squad that won the World Cup. Not all players progress the way Guehi has (also in that squad) but is the potential there?

The bbc did a piece on that squad of players because CG had just been called up to the England senior squad, becoming the 5th player from those U17's to do so. They also ranked who of the remaining 18 players was most likely to also get called up . . . Marc Guehi came a resounding 1st as the most likely.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

From what I've seen of him, Kirby seems to have gone backwards in the last couple of years - a big shame.

Kirby didn't seem the quickest, nor the physically strongest. He seemed a decent technical player, however. Presumably foreign football, like Germany or Holland, might suit him better.
