I would imagine with the state of the dressing room at Man Utd., it'd be extremely difficult for a quiet (by all accounts), younger player to find any kind of form amid all the big egos, lack of leadership, and general chaos. You get the impression the players there are running the club and they're all pulling in different directions (AWB isn't the only youngster to suffer; look at Rashford's form); it's the worst possible environment for AWB to find any kind of form or consistency in. Agree with the posts above; he is what he is and he has strong points and less strong points to his game. But it wouldn't surprise me if he got out of Man Utd. and went to a solid, well-run club that used him properly, he rebounded to become the player he was a couple of years ago. Not his fault that United paid a stupid price for him; basically he's a reliable, dependable PL right back who should have a Joel Ward-type career ahead of him in the right environment. I'd have him back here. The issue is going to be that because United paid a stupid fee for him, they're going to demand an equally stupid fee when they sell him on so they can save a bit of face.
Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God. |

If that's the case we just won't pay up. Nice to have him back, but not at any cost.
