I am concerned as the next person but I wont be wearing a hair shirt. We need to keep pushing business to find solutions if they think there's money to be made they will.

And China,India, Australia + US to keep the coal fires burning.India to address the issue in 2070,if there is a planet left.

I think that's where educating people about the technologies because we have approached a point where some of these newer technologies actually make more sense across the board than more archaic ones. But there will always be a transition period and cultural reluctance to switch, as well as thoughts as to why they should bother getting on board with something we've benefited from for decades (a perfectly valid point - but one that lacks the context of technological advancements that have taken place since that time).. The worse the situation gets the more the carrot and stick approach will be enforced rather than optional. There will probably even be wars over the environmental issues in future. It's not as if they'd be any less valid than some of the other justifications for conflict.

Compare Delhi to London, it speaks volumes for Khan's far-sighted air pollution policy. They are thinking of a weekend shut-down apparently, it is immersed in smog. You would think they would be the most proactive country, yet the very opposite is the case.
