Foxes are classed as vermin. They need culling. If people enjoy doing that, why is it such an issue?

What a strange rationale. Some people enjoy touching up children, some men enjoy raping women, some enjoy obstructing the highway, or disfiguring other people's property, or racing along roads at twice the speed limit. In your book none of these activities is "an issue" because people enjoy them.

This is the exact reason I gave to James o Brien in the cab about 17 years ago, and i"m pleased to say, it shut him up! He had said it"s peoples choice to do if they want to, loves the sound of his own voice.I saw last month in Yorkshire, a 2 year old girl was killed while foxhunting, fell owf the horse I think, parents should be up before the beak! They won"t be enjoying the hunt this boxing day !

Are you sure?

Even if it's true that they need culling, there must be a better way to do it than setting 15 dogs on it. The deer in lots of parks are culled every year but not by chasing them with dogs.

Despite the continuing insistence of those who have historically sought to justify killing them for sport or, in the case of old fashioned 'pest controllers', for profit, foxes are not and have never been legally classified as 'vermin'.

Not sure why they would be thought of as vermin, do they do much harm? Farmers may think so but, hey, they send lambs, pigs etc to slaughter everyday of the week.
The same people who were insistent that badgers carried TB and needed culling

Plus they had a near miss at wiping us out too (CJD) due to their cheap feed. Prions are terrifying.
