I'm just being selfish for the sake of Palace. I get annoyed when we lose players to the Afcon, but it's just one of those things. Obviously anyone should choose the country they prefer, not entirely sure it works that way though. There are rumours of payments and sweeteners, it could be legal for all I know. Not that there's anything dodgy about any football associations whatsoever. on that note though, it must be in the manager's head that we could lose a few key players to Afcon. Would hope that influences recruitment policy a bit so we're not screwed when the tournament comes around

Where will Olise fit into Palaces current formation, part of the midfield or forward 3? In midfield with McArthur injured, there’s a chance to look at Olise there, but he’s a very different player so I think others will be in there first (maybe Hughes gets a start). With Gallagher’s form, Olise needs to be patient Looking further forwards, he could go in wide of the front 3, but Zaha, Benteke, Edouard are becoming our first choice starters. So Olise (plus Ayew, Schlupp, and the returning Eze) have have to deliver the effective alternatives to freshen up and change things during games, as well as pressure and cover if form or injury reduce performance of those ahead. So, although an exciting player I’d love to see more of, I don’t think he makes our starting 11 yet. He will have to keep impressing as sub, and keep improving if he’s going to push his way in front of someone else.

Adler Nascimento is one to watch because they bought him before he became big like Eze and Olise. Shame we lost Atta!

Agree he’s better from the bench, his Newcastle performance as a starter was not great he struggled to get into the game when it was tight ….. he’s better when the games stretched and coming on against fullbacks who are tiring. All good experience for him

I hope Olise will soon be a starter together with Zaha and Edouard with Eze/Gallagher and McArthur/Hughes/Luka in midfield. Olise is top star quality, simple as that.
