VG's easily been our best player over the course of the last two seasons and this has been talked to death.

No one deliberately shanks the ball like that and our defence made some poor decisions regarding their positioning and attacking the ball.

The irony of all this talk about attacking football is that Brighton created two of the best chances of the game by hitting the ball straight over the top and our over passing and inability to get a decent shot off when presented with a chance or half chance is a concern.

95 minutes into a game and just after taking a big hit, he failed to hit the ball perfectly.

A number of the outfield players weren't sharp enough to react either.... but it was 95 minutes into the game!

We are too quick to jump on players backs.

They will learn from this.

Without even getting on Guaita's case, I still wouldn't mind seeing Butland.

VG ballsed up for sure, but lets not forget Guehi ducking the header. Kouyate also had the opportunity to make a red card professional foul on Maupey outside the box which he didn't.

I'm not comfortable with VG taking all the blame (probably 55% of it is fair). He made the right decision with the attempted long ball down the wing, it was just badly executed with a scuffed hook. That goal could have still been prevented.

Very disappointing end result.

We played well and should have won - draw feels like a defeat but hey ho s*** happens - we just move on to the next game.

PV picks the team he feels is right for the game and makes the subs he feels are appropriate. Sometimes it works out well sometimes it doesn't.

Sometimes individuals will make mistakes. Its our team - we should support the team through thick and thin. Just my opinion.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
