I 100% agree with this, in particular, the loss of the Scottish Westminster seats is crucial. Logically the hard left should split but at the end of the day, they do like their parliamentary salaries and perks they know they would lose if they formed a hard left party and ran for election. This way they can play student politics at the taxpayer's expense. Labour would be much more of a threat with more centrist MPs. The Corbynistas are now all/mostly in very safe seats that would be won by any Labour candidate. Originally posted by jeeagles
Labour won't win a GE without Scotland. They would be foolish to allow another referendum, as if Scotland votes to leave, Labour will never win a GE again. I think you are more likely to see the hard-left create a new party (or several, Splitters!). It may take a much bigger rebrand that New Labour to get them credibility though. Perhaps a total name changes as the term "Labour" no longer reflects the jobs of the majority of working class people.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The London ex-grads, benefit claimants, work dodgers, celebrities, and immigrants required for votes party. Promoted by the bbc.
