a criminally astute psychopath. Perhaps more victims are too ashamed/afraid to speak out, or perhaps some are dead.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Possibly that the people who have been working on the case long term eventually end up not being able to see the wood for the trees, as it were; they get bogged down with too much detail. A fresh pair of eyes, and a different approach can often spot a pattern or some recurring details over the bigger picture that may otherwise have been overlooked or dismissed. Yes I agree a fresh pair of eyes was needed and as good as the ITV drama was I was a bit disappointed with how they portrayed Simon Morgan the lead Officer from the start. I worked with Simon and he was a great Copper and Operation Minstead consumed his life for many years and he did the best he could with an understaffed and underfunded team. I just felt they made him out to be inept which was unfair. This was a case close to all of us at Croydon Nick and every night duty when we weren't busy we would be patrolling Shirley and Old Coulsdon to try and catch this monster.. I saw first hand the pain and suffering he inflicted on his victims and it really was just so sad. He is truly in my mind one of the most twisted criminals ever.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Scary to think that if he's called his deviant behaviour quits t any stage he'd have very likely got away with it.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
