Or fourthly, Palace want to hide the fact that fans did not get their tickets, and weren't confident they would be able to get in to the ground anyway.

The attendance figure is number of tickets sold these days rather than the actual number of people who turn up so those ticket holders who didn't come will be counted anyway.

I am ready, are you? Sheffield here we come.

I was at the game.
Seemed fuller than Brentford but next to me and in front were spare seats which wasn't the case at Brentford.

Made social distancing a tad bit easier as many quite rightly stated, majority of folks weren't wearing masks even though they're supposed to

Just watching the Southampton v Wolves televised game and there are absolutely hundreds of empty seats in the ‘Home’ seating areas.
Despite Covid it does seem very strange to see so many empty seats in some of the PL grounds.

I think the prices we are charged for the standard of facilities are a disgrace. I have given up my season ticket and just go to an occasional game. Call me a bad supporter but i can't justify the expense...

There has definitely been a mood change by the Club. My mate & I have had season tickets in the Upper Holmesdale for years and prior to that the Old Stand.
My Daughter also had a season ticket for years but gave it up due to having a young family. Previously if one or the other couldn't make a game we would invite someone else. Not a problem, infact, the club welcomed it.
For the Spurs game my Daughter was going to take my Mate's seat. However, with all of the changes this was proving impossible as his ticket could not be transferred to either her or my phone. I spoke to someone at the club and they suggested Twickets with no guarantee of her getting the seat next to me. With two days to go I went on the club site & got a restricted view seat for £50 a massive savings of £2!!!!
Why can't a Club ownership which started out with an ethos of fans come first use some understanding and commonsense instead of penny pinching?

22740

And that is the total number of tickets sold, not all would have attended - away on holidays, busy working and couldn't work out how to share season ticket now it's digital, or just couldn't make it

This is why I refused to download my ST to my phone - I get the tickets emailed to me and that way if I cannot make it I just email the ticket to someone else and they print it out…

I think the dreadful home form, boring games and lack of goals and goal mouth action of recent years has had a massive effect as well.
