Sure but the OP was complaining about the price of the child's kit which is much smaller and hence uses less material. My point was that the material is only a very tiny cost of the overall product. A bit like moaning about paying £10 for a plate of pasta in a restaurant where the actual pasta costs less than 10p. Doubling the portion size makes it 20p but still a tiny part of £10. The costs are in the staff, premises and margins. Smaller portion sizes in restaurants also means selling more courses rather than one filling one.

Quite expensive for a kid's kit but well worth it if we get more lifelong Palace fans.

The adult shirt is £55 and the kids one is £45. Not the same price.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

When it comes to children its not worth paying that sort of money anyway get a cheaper one for about £12-15 and with the money saved you could do this every year or even get a few of them in case they are at risk of being damaged etc.

What I do with my Palace mad 10yr old is buy the kids Gold membership which comes with a kit for £50 (which effectively makes the membership £5 and that has its benefits!) and then buy the other 2 tops (away/3rd kit) in the 2 for £50 deal at Xmas! I know kits are expensive BUT when your little one’s ONLY ever wants to wear them it save on other clothes LoL!!!! One thing of note though the baby/infant kits cost more because they include shorts/socks…. The adult/junior kit is £55/£45 just for the tops…. I think shorts are £25 & socks are £14 so when you add that to the price it’s closer to the £100 mark!!! The thing that gets me is the cost of printing…. £15 extra for prem badges and name/number - THAT’S a rip off!!!!!

When we played Chelsea I was with my Chelsea supporting son pre-game and went into their club shop with him so he could buy this season's shirt (Wearing my Palace shirt of course which he found embarrassing). £105 Yes, ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE POUNDS! And there was me thinking that ours were expensive.
I am ready, are you? Sheffield here we come. |
