On the other hand, him joining Chelsea meant that like most of their players he ended up spending the majority of his career on loan, when I think he could have had a better career elsewhere.

It is a bit ridiculous, that the guy spent 3 years with us, 4 with Wigan, and then has played for 7 clubs in 10 years: Chelsea Must have spent most of his life living out of a suitcase
