Isn't it great to see real football back tackles not being called fouls, But as usual managers are complaining about how there poor little darlings are being man handled, Its a mans game grow a pair and man up, it was great to watch players winning the ball and a foul wasnt given because a hair touched the the others leg in winning the ball

I have to say it is quite refreshing to see play being allowed to continue and not stopped for every little incident of physical contact.

There was one occasion on Saturday where Gallagher barrelled into a Brentford player, I waited for the whistle to go for a foul and, lo and behold, play was waived on.

There was one I actually thought was a foul. The one the player in possession didn’t see the opponent come and step over the ball and use his thigh to dump the player in possession to the ground. That use of thigh obviously goes on a lot, but in that case it’s a foul and was often given before var and player protection.

Despite their strikers’ view on MOTD, I’d expect Shearer and Wright to argue their teams get a free kick rather than a goal against them, and they’d probably get the free kick. It gets allowed when it’s just like the equal shoulder to shoulder, not come in and use your upper or lower body to barge the opponent off the ball without touching the ball until he’s on the ground.

Bad tackle by Perez last night and he was deservedly given a red. Didn't see Rodgers complaining about that one. Difficult to argue really.

After the initial flurry of grumbles from Klopp saying football was now like watching wrestling and Solskjaer drawing a similarity with rugby, hopefully we'll continue to see fast, flowing football.

Some of the ridiculous stop, start games last season sparked by fluffy tackles, loud screams and much writhing about were painful to watch.

None of us want to see players injured, bad tackles should be penalised, but it's a physical game and a good tackle is part of it.

So, it's good to see this morning that the PL referees chiefs will continue to allow a more physical approach to the game this season.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

It was a bad foul and luckily VAR was able to prove the fact to the ref who may not have seen it properly.
The law makers seem unable to differentiate between a tackle and a foul.
