I still prefer Charles Grey's Blofeld to Donald Pleasance's (wasn't Telly Savalas Blofeld too?) ... he had a fantastic evil face Charles Grey, he was Mercator (Aleister Crowley apparently) in The Devil Rides Out. He delivers a nice line to Bond near the end of Diamonds are Forever after revealing his plans: "humility, Mr Bond, is the worst form of conceit." Top baddie line that for me.

I think Telly Savalas was in On Her Majesty's Secret Service with George Lazenby as Bond. I thought it was a good one. I didn’t think Savalas was great in it though. Lazenby was pretty good and seemed like a gritty yet thinking Bond. He looked realistic in the fighting. He died young, I think, kind of tragic but can't remember the details.

Bond trivia, Gert Forbe's English wasn't good enough at the time so he's lines were re-dubbed by Anthony Hopkins. When they restored Spartacus one scene was missing audio so Sir Anthony was asked to re dub Laurence Olivier. Apparently he has quite a talent for impersonations. Some more trivia. When Ursula Andress sang Under the Mango Tree in Dr. No she was dubbed by Diana Coupland - the mum in Bless this House.

Mads Mikkelsen as La Chiffre is good. For laughs, Michael Lonsdale as Sir Hugo Drax. Hilarious performance. And for just being himself, Christopher Walken. Always grabs the screen.
