I remember that day well, we had high hopes, first game of season, and were humbled by a very good Liverpool team. My abiding memory of that game was at the end, Barnsey walked all round the ground clapping the Palace supporters ,who were noisy that day , nice touch. Looking at it again you can see the holmesdale is down, and two of the Palace players are no longer alive ! Also got me thinking, when that game was played, i"m sure lots can remember it like yesterday, Wilf was still in nappies! R.i.p Darren and Ray.
