I remember a few years back easyjet or ryanair having a route from england to Italy or France, but a regional airport in the middle of nowhere, lots of people cashed in and bought lovely cheap properties there to live or just holiday in. A year or two later, the airline cancelled that route, leaving them hours of driving from another airport,something you might not consider if buying abroad.
