I started this thread in '21 after Benteke's goal at the AMEX. Eze's second goal yesterday was glorious and, impetuous it may be, but I am in awe of him as a player, and that goal has to rank high in the all time greats at Selhurst (in my very humble opinion). Got to be one of the best assists as well, what a cross field ball from Olise, up there with Muzza’s deft little chest to Dwight Gayle in 3-3 v the red scousers

These two are exceptional talents and have very bright futures ahead. The big question of course, is how long can we keep them?
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

There’s been two goals this season which for me both fall into the category of ‘goals I didn’t expect to see Palace score’. After so many years of watching quite average football at Selhurst Park, and in recent times only Ambrose providing rare moments of magic (for goals), whenever it happens these days I still do sort of pinch myself and think ‘Yeah, we can and do score those now’. One was obviously yesterday starting from the ball and the other was Mickey’s last minute FK against United. Top quality.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Both yesterday's goals were magnificent. How many passes before the first one? And what a turn by Wilf.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

I was sifting through some old stuff earlier and found something that set me thinking about my favourite Palace Goal. Jim Cannon, playing at left back, scored the only goal to beat Leeds at SP in the 70s. No idea of the date, but I was with my brother-in-law who is a staunch Leeds supporter and he was mortified. I enjoyed that one. There have been some crackers over the years scored by the likes of Byrne, Rogers, Mulligan, Hilaire not to mention Hopkin LTCO. In more recent times we've seen some good, and important, goals from Pardew, Ambrose, Wright, Gayle, Townsend and, of course, Wilf. You will remember many others I'm sure. But, I think my favourite has to be Benteke scoring at the Amex last season. Here's why: 1 It was a last gasp winner Your turn.

At least we know SP will fight all the way to keep them, he turned down a lot of money for Wilf from Arsenal and Everton. We’re not a selling club anymore, but I know every player has his price eventually
