Yes rudi but keep an eye on the pressure. If it drops again it is more likely the safety valve is letting by. Yes I’ve left the flap open to tell and remind me to keep checking the pressure. If it drops again and the tissue in a plastic box is wet they’ll e called back.

Had them back before cancelling, after making sure it’s ok again. He said it was last serviced last year. So the service this year wasn’t logged and he probably didn’t do anything at all. Today I checked him taking parts off and seeing to various things. Do these engineer comments look like enough? Tells you everything you need to know, that even after cancelling, you're still having to check up on BG engineers work.

You are bang on the money PAX. BG , and other large companies, are royally taking the p155. And it's probably not the BG engineers fault. Just too much 5hlt passed from (mis)management trying to please shareholders. And fck the customer Edited by Forest Hillbilly (06 Aug 2021 7.45am)

The guy who serviced my boiler was an independent contractor not an employee I suspect that is the way BG are going. The problem with getting a local man to do it is what happens if you have an emergency and he is not available? I looked at other companies and regretfully decided for now that BG was still the best option.

The last service that was booked for us was with a company acting as a sub-contractor. Based up north somewhere, don't remember their name. I was deeply suspicious. It was cancelled anyway. But, like you, we're sticking with BG for now in case of an emergency, especially as winter draws on. They've clearly struggled one way or another as a result of the pandemic.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

They've clearly struggled one way or another as a result of the pandemic. They’ve also used covid to restructure the staffing and wages causing employees to leave, all in favour of the shareholders. I also think as their loyal customers die off or go into care, the tinpot no phone number energy companies get more business.
