My daughter has a friend with this but it was always put down as being a "little Shy" She communicates mostly using whats-ap and social media where she comes across as a bubbly out going person, but face to face Will only talk to a very small select few and then only in whispers. Good luck I hope you find a path through to a solution. Edited by Apollofuzz (19 Jul 2021 12.23pm)

Thank you for your kind words. She does have some close friends who she can converse with as she does with her close family. Unfortunately I fear it may have been left too long to obtain suitable treatment but I can only hope, as I do not know what the future will hold for the 2 of them It's good at least that she does have some outlets in term of communication, in a situation that can't be easy for her (or others!). It's a shame that for conditions other than bog standard or commonplace it's so often hard to know where to turn or whether the advice you're receiving is even useful. This specific page looks to have a few decent ideas though of where to turn and when: [Link] I hope she manages to get on the right path and that things work out well for them both.

It is a shame as she is very talented artist but will not “ put herself out there”. Edited by Spiderman (24 Jul 2021 6.59am)
