Iranian TV Football Bare Leg Ban

You may have seen this news item about an Iranian TV network refusing to broadcast any pictures of Assistant Ref. Sian Massey-Ellis in the United v Spurs match as she had the audacity to officiate with bare legs. I dare say the TV station had little choice in the matter. What it has done is to put in to sharp relief the inherent absurdity of such regimes. It makes their posturing deservedly laughable and lamentable at the same time.

It'll make their coverage of the Womens FA Cup Final an interesting watch! Presumably all of their womens' teams have to wear a burkha, which is confusing if the referee has to wear black as well. Makes it easier for the club shops though I suppose. The away kit looks remarkably like the home.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Why do people who have a problem with Muslims spend so much of their time torturing themselves with Islamic news? If reading about Muslims irks you then don't do it lol
