Man U are changing the seat covers at Old Trafford because their players complained they couldn't see each other during games. Players have asked to change them from red to black. On thin ice there as well possibly! The best excuse for poor performances ever. No mention of VAR or how they played or bad back passes or anything else to do with the game. Impressive eh? Come on now you naughty boys, what's our excuse? And you can't blame the red and blue seat covers.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

We did actually blame our lack of goals on the net being red & blue for a few weeks and therefore harder to see a couple of years ago didn't we?

I knew the Hastings United goalkeeper many years back when they drew Fulham away in the FA Cup. Probably the biggest game in their history and much anticipation. They were holding their own when a long through ball came his way. He came out of his box to clear it, but inexplicably did an air shot, allowing the Fulham striker to walk it into an empty net. Afterwards he explained that as he was rushing out of his goal he had a sudden flashback to the night before when he had gone to watch Hot Gossip performing live. It was a costly distraction.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |
