What we really need here is sex. We all know the tories capitalist cronyism is entirely corrupt but it doesn't have the ability to shock as the the voters just factor it in anyway. Not that any self-respecting old etonian would bother with what people think anyway.

Civil Service to be asked if they have 2nd jobs. I sound like Victor Meldrew "I don't believe it" Every large corporate I have worked for has strict rules about declaring outside interests which have to be approved by the company before accepting. And then people moan when Cummings wanted to reform the Civil Service.

Anyone should be able to work as much or as little as they like, so long as there is no conflict of interest, or if doing so breaks a fair clause in a contract or is detrimental to their output across those roles. Whether or not one of those jobs is tax payer funded is irrelevant.
