Should people who have sheilded get a bonus? for working through the pandemic even tho they have not been working?

In Wales the nhs are awarding a one off bonus to all nhs staff even those who have been at home shielding a little unfair to those who have worked all through it.

I do think nhs England should also get a bonus payment also

Happy for working NHS staff to get a good bonus. Those who stay at home fair enough but their bonus has been keeping their job.

A mate is a building engineer from March of last year he has worked whilst most of his colleagues were furloughed, as the key man he wasn't given the option.

As you imply it's a little unfair his mates sit at home on 80% full pay he has even been allowed to take all his holiday that he is due.

People who have shieled should not be punished but those that worked should be compensated.

One more point

For public facing staff in NHS and other key workers there should be a different regime to those working from home for example.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Yes they did get 100% furlough, and they still went out shopping, visiting others,having nice bike rides and sunbathing in there gardens and posting images of themselves in facebook , relaxing in there hotubs all for there co-workers who are slaving away picking up there work in the face of danger to see, most who have worked through it all are feeling a little bit annoyed that they are getting a bonus too.
