No signing on fee accepts modest wages and only one season deal we'd be nuts not to take him Actually disagree with that, which shows either how far he's fallen, how far we've come, or both. The reason I say that is 1. he's permanently injured so even if he's being paid next to nothing, I'd rather have a stable team than one that's constantly trying to cope with players who aren't consistently available and 2. looking at some of the young talents in the club, I'd honestly rather give some of our own kids a go even if it costs us a few points than have their way blocked by a sicknote 31-year-old. Signing Ramsay would send a terrible message to the youngsters trying to break through and we neither are nor do we want to be that sort of club. It's one thing if you bring in talented youngish players like Dwight McNeil to compete with them but Ramsay? Really?

Agree with Syd. You want players to put their heart into it and Ramsay is unlikely to do that. His career has not progressed since he left Arsenal, much as he thought he could improve on that. Big Time Charlie and we don't need people like that. Fully endorse the point about the poor message it sends to the youngsters.

He struggled in the Scottish Premier League to a level where he was often left on the bench at Rangers. Doubt he could hack it in the Premier League. Another Max Meyer Don't go near him...

A lazy point made (at a strawberry picking farm!) where I could make a lazy point as the newsnow blogs advocating this are, I suspect, little more than his agent planting reports in the hope that something might pop up. If I was a betting man I think Fulham will take him on a pay per game deal.

He's an alright player, who has his moments. His moments will not include the Premier League with us. There is no room for sentiment.
