This is an interesting development that has tweaked the interest of some journalists. What started as a trickle is now turning into a tide....Fishermen & Hill Farmers all marrying pretty girls from the Phillipines. On the one hand, its just a story of a small archipeligo of remote islands. On the other hand, it's a metaphor for all the Western World. And of course it poses many questions : * what does it mean for the future of the Faroes? * is this a type of colonisation ? * did anybody consult the opinions of men back in the Phillipines ? * many of these newcomers are very pretty. What are the opinions of native Faroe women to all of this ? * What happens in the event of a divorce ? Other thoughts ? Edited by PalazioVecchio (12 Mar 2021 5.10pm)

Edited by PalazioVecchio (12 Mar 2021 5.10pm) My experience with Filipino women is this. They are generally very nice, but very simple. It’s their life goal to snare a western man They are generally not as devious as many Thai birds

their hardcore christianity is often a bonus. Committed to making a marriage work for life and not previously been around the track too many times. their home country does not have a laddettes culture of binge drinking, many bedroom conquests, & buying designer goods. I saw a Youtube video a while back from an Asian man complaining that too many Asian women wanted white western men. I must admit, I did have sympathy for him. The consequences of globalism differ in positivity or negativity depending upon the individual and their context. What you tend to find is that increased access to something (in this case increased globalism) results in those with means being able to exploit quality resources much easier. This will obviously be a good thing if you're on the right side of that.....but just like the stock market, for someone to win, someone else has to lose.
