I think they’ll stay up because those kind of statistics just can’t keep up. I love the hilarity of it but if they play us like they did another 9 times they win all 9. But they can’t and won’t so it’s hilarious the 1 in 10 is the reality one.

Same for today, they get 2 penalties in another game they’ll score both but again hilarious whilst the wheels are falling off.

If one of the bottom 3 looked good enough to be better than them I’d love to say it’ll happen but I don’t think there’s any escape for the bottom 3.

A team playing way worse than Brighton, Fulham and even West Brom is Newcastle so I don’t see much chance of Brighton getting dragged down.

I’d say it’s a dead cert the bottom 3 stay the same but if one does great escape I can’t see Brighton finishing below Newcastle.

Of course with these good footballing performances followed by 0 points gained comes lack of belief in the system and low morale. If Brighton start playing actually bad football and not racking up these mad shots on goal then it could hopefully be a different story.

Great trip down memory lane. Refs were real showmen. He was loving it.

Yes Willo is right about the Luton Simod Cup game, one of the strangest games I've ever seen.
Despite the sendings off Luton were 1-0 up at half time (Dowie scored for them). We won 4-1 in the end.
There was also a 5 minute delay as there was a cat on the pitch!
Kelvin Morton was a legend ref, something always happened when he was in charge!

Could be a statistical blip or could be that they are getting the kind of stats they are because of the way they play. Alright yesterday was a bit odd with two missed penalties but they have now drawn twice with Fulham and Burnley home and away, taken one point from two matches with Palace and West Brom and drawn with Sheff Utd at home.
They are just two slow and lack creativity in the final third they don't have players that can cause havoc drive at goal an open up space like Zaha or Saint Maximin they don't have the big number 9 like Benteke or Barnes/Woods.
If football was boxing Brighton would be the perfect sparring parnter technically good , style of big possesion based team but with absolutley no punch.

Just put this on the other thread because I wasn't sure which one was more appropriate, but I thought it was interesting that after the disallowed free kick yesterday, after Dunk had asked "Can I take it quickly ref" the other 10 Brighton players and the 11 West Brom players all started singing
He said no, Lewis, he said no
He said no, Lewis, he said no.........

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

My brother was doing a referee course at this time. Morton was a guest speaker, he showed them all the penalties and no one could find anything wrong with the decisions

Brighton are the first team in #PL history to miss two penalties by hitting the woodwork in a single match 😲
