It looks like it going to happen with the dreaded coefficient being used for some of the places. So your one of the PL big six and have a poor season no worries you still get in through the back door.

You might as well just say if your one of the big boys you don't need to qualify period, at least that is honest.

Why don’t the “Big Clubs” just clear off and play each other every week? The current PL clubs could act as reserve teams for them and they can have any half decent players on a free transfer to bulk up their expanded squads . They could use the other clubs’ grounds for training while the likes of Palace go for a kick about in the park.
Until that happens the Big Club should be allowed to attack a goal with posts replacing the corner flags while defending one the size of a postage stamp.

It could be a real turn off for fans, ultimately can't see many paying extra for this. It won't be viable unless global audiences want it. I watch the odd Champions League game, maybe the odd International, even one Europa League game perhaps. No way would I pay to watch this.

It's worth questioning the motivation for change across Europe.

I think across Europe the driver is the dominance of the Premier League. Spain has two clubs fighting out for the championship, Italy, Germany, and France have one. They are going to lose out on domestic revenues to the Premier League sooner or later and their domestic leagues will go into decline.

When BT won the TV rights for European Football from Sky, BSkyb immediately announced the BT had overpaid as the interest is overstated.

Those big clubs need something happening. The English clubs don't really have the same issue.

Now it's much easier for the Premiership to recruit the best talent globally we might start to see a league that's even more of powerhouse.
