If you view being president as the domain for the most competent and intelligent.....as it should be in a merit based system....then you can only be dismayed by what has transpired since the days of intellectual powerhouses like Nixon or Kennedy (regardless of what we think of their policy decisions)

Harris in comparison....like Biden before her, is an idiot. At least with Biden you can put some of that down to his cognitive decline....with Harris, she is what she is...a DEI hire.

In truth they are stooges and figureheads who would sell your grandmother into slavery if they thought it advantaged them.

Trump isn't that different, he isn't particularly bright and he's always been there more for the ego more than for anything else....he's also happy to stooge for policies that are more GOP concerns than his....He's more interested in foreign policy, especially economic, rather than the domestic....which he mostly delegates....with woeful picks during 2016-2020.

However, the stark choice in 2024 is between the Democrats who are increasingly progressive under a moron like Harris, while the GOP aren't. So if you're not a progressive the choice is obvious.

Both parties are financially owned however and corrupt and anyone who bothers to take note sees how the system works over there.

Regardless of who wins....which should be Trump.....America is going to see unrest as neither side's foot soldiers will accept the result.
