A country much closer to home and was British much more recently. You cant throw a lot of the old arguments at the Irish though. You cant claim its imperialist, or has a history of violence against minority groups, its much more difficult to claim it's not justified force, and its almost impossible to claim that these aren't just thugs using the death as an excuse for vandalism. I cant help but wonder what might happen if they tried the same s*** in Belfast? I'm sure the UDA, IRA or other former Irish groups may find their own way of dealing with it if one of their own gets wasted by these people.

There are parallels to the Mark Duggan incident that sparked the 2011 London riots. a kid in his Late 20's with a violent troubled past, shot by cops while he has a weapon in his hand. The local ethnic community goes mental and demands justice from the cops. Assaults on elderly whites & damage to property. None of the rioters were wearing face masks or doing social distancing ! rumours of the cops getting thrown under the bus by politicians ? journalistic articles are already playing down the videos of George swinging his ( knife ?) at the cops neck. The article makes no mention that minutes before his death, George brutally hospitalised a shop-worker.

I suspect they will strike (perhaps even officially) if this rubbish continues.

A confused bunch of people calling the Gardai 'da poleece.'I have never ever heard one person in my life call them the police. Since the Good Friday Agreement, the Gardai have shot six people.

Thank god for bodycams. Black woman dies after attempted arrest by policeman. If it wasn't for the camera in his car and the one he was wearing BLM would be marching. In the incident the policeman is courteous even when she pulls a gun and shoots him. Predictably there is going to be an inquiry I hope they give him a medal.
