Not overrated, but Maradonna was the best footballer. He won the World Cup and got to the next final with an average Argentina team.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Come on guys: not the spelling police but at least spell his name right! Of course we should have but did not win that 74 final and he stayed at home for the 78 world cup, reportedly fearing personal safety. Magnificent player, even in his late career when I was lucky enough to see saw him play a few times. Totally uncompromising as a coach too, style and attacking football coming before results. Kruyf is probably the one who would stand the best chance of doing it in all decades. Ahead of his time. You look at that Dutch team and everything about them looked years ahead.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

Pele was good. But barely worthy to tie the bootlaces of Maradona or Kruyf.
