I take no sides on this. All politicians seem corrupt to me.
None have given their huge pay rise back.
In fact the trigger for this post was Jeremy Corbyn claiming his TV licence on expenses. So I guess this is primarily about expenses.

Work clothes, haircuts, taxi's/travel, make-up. And we're not talking about Tesco (or other competitive retailers), we're talking about Saville Row suits, dining at expensive restaurants, second jobs, ...and claiming Attendance Allowance whilst shirking at home on a PC funded by the tax payer.

BJ has promised to find the culprit who leaked his pending Lockdown Plan, but when BJ got away with giving public money to that American girl he was 5hagging, Dominic Cummings doing what he wanted and making some Fairy Story about his holiday activities. Priti Patel swerving the enquiry about her bullying tactics at work. No one seems accountable.
Dianne Abbot to name other, for balance.
They are all at it, and massively taking the plsh

Guido Fawkes should only be a few days away (5th November). Pity he failed.

I disengage, I turn the page.

The only good man to get into Parliament.

Its the oldest political conundrum in the book. If you want to be a politician you should be banned from doing so.

So how do we decide on who makes the decisions? Answer that and you have the solution.

Guy Fawkes - where is he when you really need him!
Snouts in the trough one way or another and that goes for many in Whitehall as well.
Who on earth - for example - handed the recent PPE contract to Steve Dechan - P14 Medical?
A contract worth over £250m!!
Last year it was a Company in debt to the tune of nearly £500,000 and now it is worth millions!
Its accounts to September 2019 showed it to be a small and failing business!
He is a mate of someone in Government(in its broadest sense) for sure to have got that.
Pauper to millionaire in the time it takes to sign a signature on an order!
Crooked as crooked can be!

And it certainly isn't the only dubious contract that's been awarded.

It's infuriating to see and I have nothing but distrust in the 'establishment'. No matter who is in charge I fully expect this sort of bare faced crookedness to continue until we decide to make people accountable.

The pay rise thing has been going on for years. I remember when I first heard about it I was shocked cos nobody else was getting anything like it and still 20 years later they are carrying on. Not sure whether its the actual voting for their own pay rise or the fact that people just accept it is more shocking.
Makes me believe the best alternative is an anarchistic society where people self govern. Not sure how far away that is though.

Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping.

Hubert Reeves
