My other footballing love is Hadjuk Split. Today is the 70th year since their main supporters group, 'Toricda Split' was founded. The city started celebrations early with this firework/flare display over the entire city with other displays at numerous spots both along the Dalmatian Coast line and on the numerous Islands. Next time somebody moans about the Fanatics letting off the odd flare, refer them to this.

Wow, amazing. I also follow Hadjuk, went to a bar in Split to watch the Derby last August. Wonderfully supported team, we sailed all down the Dalmatian coast and all you can see is the Torcida painted in every town.

And this was from Dubrovnik.... Every Dalmatian wedding I have been to has flares and Hadjuk songs at some stage as well.

One of my girlfriends cousins got married to a Croatian model on Hvar, will have to be ask if they broke out into song. Best coastline in Europe. What do you think about the northern coastline, thinking of cruising that next?

What do you think about the northern coastline, thinking of cruising that next? Been up as far as Umag, where they usually have a big tennis tournament and it is all great. In fact you cannot really go wrong with any of the Adriatic coast lines. Stunning on the Italian side as well. You thought about going a little further south and trying Albania? Heard some great things about their coast line. Wonderful beaches and some fun resorts. Reckon within the next decade it would be a pretty popular destination.

Yeah, friends who we were with carried on down to Montenegro. I offer services to the superyacht industry and everyone is saying that Albania is supposed to be the next big thing. Would love to go down from Pag all the way to Ionian and Aegean seas to do Greece. Just need to get back to work first!!! Are you from Croatia.

No. Married into it but have been going down there for the best part of 25 years now. Montenegro is nice. Spent some time in Tivat but that was before they did it all up for the Yacht traffic. But yes, the entire Med and associated seas are stunning. Heart of civilisation. Could happily spend the rest of my life exploring every nook and cranny if I had the means.
