Maybe a day, well too regular for any further delays. Once in a while I'll do the old Salt flush thing & get shot of everything, and that means everything.

I prefer a prawn vindaloo ... went to hospital as a ten year old with suspected appendicitis - turned out to be severe constipation - got the barium enema delivered by a glaswegian nurse "doo bug loads of ut" she kept saying, and I did, looked more like sausage vindaloo if there is such a thing.

When I was a youngster I came off my motorbike and crushed some vertebrae in my neck! I was flat on my back in hospital for a month with a large collar on unable to initially feel anything below my neck, some feeling slowly returning a bit each day. I did eat a tiny amount food after a few days, drank liquids but had to pee lying down (not too difficult to manage with a bit of assistance) However, when it finally came to having a s*** after about 6 days (which I was absolutely dreading) that was an awful experience-still lying prone on top of a bed pan held in place by 1 good natured giggling nurse, the other nurse holding my knees to keep them slightly bent (for ease of use) both who had seen and heard it all before! We all attempted to get through the whole procedure without further injury to me (I was past any embarrassment).

Pierre just reminded me of another experience of a prolonged stay in hospital. I had to use a cardboard bed pan. Trying to do a 5hlt whilst lying down and not soiling the bed is quite a 'unique' experience.
I disengage, I turn the page. |
