Just wondering if anyone has looked recently and did you get a good deal, or is it worth waiting a little longer.

Advertised prices from dealers are still high, but they are in a weak bargaining position. Obviously go for petrol and small engine size. (lower tax and insurance, and diesels are being phased-out)
I disengage, I turn the page. |

I see there are deals like 0% apr, zero deposits, payment holidays, deposit contributions, job loss protection etc etc, but is that any different to what was available pre covid? I was hoping there would be some government incentives on electric vehicles. As someone else mentioned car dealers are in a weak position right now, so there should be some good deals and negotiation to be done, they probably just don't advertise the fact.

There aren't as many as people would think as all car manufacturers ceased production so there isn't the huge stockpile of unsold cars that people imagine there is

Lease deals are generally horrendous atm because there Just isn’t the excess stock out there...this is also being reflected in new car prices at Main Dealers. Hybrids and all electric are now seeing their prices harden as confidence grows so the deals to be had are on petrol and diesel in particular. Audi atm seem to be the amongst the main ones being discounted. The ‘Leasing’ thread on Pistonheads is always an interesting read and gives you a feel for the current market. The general feeling is that deals have never been as bad as the current time.
