Can’t see anyone arguing with you on that.

Who knows if it’s a fabrication by the Police or by Maguire’s lawyer. Either way someone has taken a huge liberty with the truth.

Indeed

I think there is enough evidence to confirm or deny Maguire's allegations. As other have said if she was injected that can be proved by a doctor and a blood test should confirm with what. If neither of those things happen then I would be very suspicious.

At the moment I am suspicious of the speed of prosecution if they had a slam dunk case against Maguire why not wait a couple weeks make sure you investigate the injection allegation and have interviewed the alleged Albanian attackers. The prosecution could then produce all this in court confirming the player is a liar. And of course if they investigate they might change their minds.

I can see a situation where the following might occur:

- Maguire and friends are on "it" all day.
- When she is on her own his sister is injected with a date rape drug and collapses just as Maguire and his mate come back.
- All hell breaks lose but eventually someone says lets get her to hospital.
- Someone at the bar is concerned and calls the police but they are not in uniform when they stop the coach.
- The drunk Maguire and friends think its an ambush by the Albanians and it kicks off.
- Maguire does hit a copper and does try to buy his way out. Meanwhile the coppers do kick him and are not professional in dealing with the situation.

Anyway just a wild guess.

If Maguire really is guilty then the suspended sentence seems very lenient, I would have expected gaol time for trying to bribe a cop.

From the fight happening to being found guilty all within a few days seems obscenely quick and certainly not enough time for any sort of defense (no pun intended).

It's right that he's not to be picked by England until he has cleared his name. If he can't clear his name then I expect he will be dropped for the next 12 months.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

You earn that much money and you go to some sh1t hole nightclub in Greece, full of dodgy t***s wanting a fight. Heading the ball must have more serious consequences than once thought.

All unseemly haste. Reminds me of Bobby Moore and certain necklace (I think it was) in South America prior to the 1970 World Cup.

I note two things
1. A prosecutor lawyer saying Maguire still has time to apologize
2. Maguire has appealed

Something fishy going on IMO.

Maguire's story seems to be unravelling and I agree with the Greek Lawyer the BBC interview was a disgrace why was he not pressed for more info on the mysterious "Albanians" and the date rape drug. He volunteered to be interviewed so they were entitied to press him on any relevant aspect.

This is not a cozy Man United TV interview

"Well Sir Alex some people think your the greatest manager of all time, ad nauseam"

Maguire lacks the charm and composure of Norman 'bites yer legs' Hunter.

There is only one thing wrong with his performance.

It's crap....

Funny how his whereabouts were kept secret, but, the Biased Bullshyte Co knew where he was for that nauseating interview AND, still found time to squeeze in another Manure story bout another one of their players. #defundthebbc

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
