Or, is it them ... Seems every player that we are associated with, West Ham seem to be interested too. Do they have a scouting department ?

Well, let's see. I've heard both clubs are interested (and some others too) in Eberechi Eze, Ollie Watkins, Said Benrahma, Connor Gallagher, Ryan Fraser, David Brooks, but there is an explanation for this. All of those players are playing in England and it's easier for an English club to see them. Also, most are homegrown, which West Ham desperately needs (Palace doesn't need that at all, it has plenty of homegrown players, even if Zaha, Townsend etc leave). In fact, Palace is the club which should be looking somewhere else, not just as England-based player.

It's lazy journalism and agents trying to plant stories to flush out bids. I'd hazard a guess that a good 80% of players we're 'interested' in, we have never had any intention in going for them. Jarrod Bowen for example was apparently offered to us on loan, not us approaching Hull, and the stories made public just to get another club to buy him.
