It’s a shame Brentford reduced their chances of automatic promotion yesterday. They must now get a better result against Barnsley on Wednesday than West Brom do against QPR. However a win for Fulham at Wigan would see them promoted if West Brom lose and Brentford fail to win. The last play-off spot looks like being between Cardiff and Swansea, although Cardiff would appear to be strong favourites only needing a point from a home game against Hull.

If I was a forest fan I would be absolutely fuming with the club, they looked nailed on for play offs and put in a show like that ? But also fair play to Swansea

But also fair play to Swansea Nottm Forest went into the Stoke game on the back of 5 games without a win and in fact lost their previous game,at Barnsley. Stoke on the other hand had won 2 of their previous 3 games and in the game before Nottm For beat Brentford 1-0.

Whichever of those candidates are successful, they are going to have a tough battle to survive one season in the PL. I guess Leeds with their past and big-club organisation look the most likely.
