Or perhaps the madness is the fact that 80% of the stuff bought is returned?

When I worked in an office when women bought stuff back from the shop what drove nuts was that they wouldn't ask whether I liked what they bought but would boast how much they had "saved". Sure enough next day they'd be back with the same item in the same bag en route to the Returns counter at Next.

The words that every man dreads "Darling I saved you a fortune"

I think I can trump you lot.

We (I) hire a 20' shipping container full of junk that she won't throw away. OK, so there's an office desk and chair, a bistro style table with 4 stools, but apart from that...

Worst if all though is a cardboard box in the spare bedroom, which contains something that will never see the light of day again - the mother-in-law's wedding dress vintage 1939.

If I want to provoke a divorce, all I have to do is put the box in the car and head for the council tip.
