I don't think he has an issue. He is pointing out the biased reporting.

Exactly. My issue was the reporting calling them bikers. I was very glad to see them there but their presence seemed to be lost on the biased media

Story of our lives Spider, we were there to protect the memorials & were even joined by some of the DFLA lads. The OB turned up(in force) & after ASKING us to 'move on', realised who we were & diplomatically moved away themselves.

The troubled started when the EDL/NF & whoever turned up as well as Antifa & 'some' of the more radical BLM, thats when the shyte started. We were then asked again to disperse, which we did in full marching order, all call signs together.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Thank you, the *ahem* bbc turned up, as did a few other outlets, realised who we were & because we were standing there peacefully, couldnt be arsed to find out properly who we were & left, but still labelled us 'far-right activists'

A few of the foreign news media did interview us as they were perplexed as to we were doing(or not doing). I think this(demo's etc) is now going to fizzle out, especially as you got company's apologising, bending over backwards to appease BLM etc incl the EPL, who are btw, breaking FIFA's law on political logo's on matchday kits.

You are not wrong there Danny, be interesting this year to see what happens. Will the FA/EPL/EFL insist players etc 'take the knee' for our fallen? Will they insist on putting the 'All Call Signs' logo on the shirts? Will they fcuk.

With all this anti slavery going on and trying to rip up history I find it interesting the left and the media haven't picked on the queen. Being head of the commonwealth it's strange they haven't gone for the easy target.

Actually there was an article about this the other day because of Harry and Megan's comments.

The gist was to remind Price Harry that the Commonwealth is not the empire but a collection of countries with a shared history good and bad. The Queen is head of the Commonwealth by virtue of the support of the members who are free to leave at any time as some have and to rejoin. Charles will be the next head because the members have chosen him.

Interestedly Some countries that do not have a shared history with the UK have joined as they see a benefit of belonging to a large organization even if it is for social prestige and sporting links.

The Commonwealth has it's critics because many countries are not democracies but overall I think it has been a force for good and surely it is better to be on friendly terms with these nations.

Hopefully now we have left the EU we can strengthen our ties I would especially like us to help them in the area of Free Trade.

Charles De Gaulle vetod Britian's attempts to enter the European Union, partly, because he thought that the Commonwealth would make it too powerful.

Over the years France has made a lot of mistakes in it's dealings with England and Britian, but this is a major one.

Franch overseas territories are allowed to vote in EU elections. But British and the commonwealth aren't independently.

Given the current friction on the India/China boarder a EU with included access to the entire commonwealth as it was in the 1950's would have been an immensly powerful block. Far bigger than Russia/USSR, USA, and China. But I suppose hidsight is 20/20.

The Commonwealth has always been a loose affiliation and has never wieleded any power as a group. However it doesn't that that it won't in the future or at least become a trading bloc. So for it's potential it's worth us continuing with plus it keeps our relations with those countries on fairly good terms. Who knows when we might need it each other?
