Loft hatch made bigger

Anyone ever hired someone out to make hatch bigger and strengthen joists what's a reasonable or average price?

You'll be looking at about £100-150 to re-size your loft hatch and then another £150 for a new ladder (if required).

I’d be thinking nearer £400 labour and materials. Unless they are short of work due to the virus.

It's hard to fit bodies through the small hatches and the original ladders won't take the weight.
