Possibly so. Depends on whether or not you clicked on the link I posted. All will become clear.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I remember in one episode of The Goodies he lifted up his shirt to reveal a silken union jack thong covering his naval, he said it was his 'A string, the same as a G-string but a little bit higher. I liked the goodies as a kid, it looks pretty weak now, but he was great on radio 4 with Barry Cryer and the rest, and was clearly held in great affection by a lot of people. very sad.

He was one of the university gang along with the Pythons but never got the same acclaim because he went down the popular entertainment route. I still think the Goodies was classic TV and was quite daring and alternative in it's day for a tea time show, especially if you were a kid.
It wasn't Fawlty Towers or even Ripping Yarns but still worthy.

My favourite line from I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue was Graeme Garden asked to complete an advertising slogan.
- If you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuit?
- Join the euphemism society.
