I can’t find another thread on this, so here goes... It was thirty years ago today that Palace had imho their finest hour, beating Liverpool 4-3 after extra time in their FA Cup semi final at Villa Park. Fantastic day out, the absolute pinnacle of my years supporting Palace.

What a day! Didn't go as was in Sydney at the time. Watched it in the early hours though, me and my mate who were both Palace and about a dozen Liverpool 'fans'. Bloody amazing.

Awesome game, especially after the infamous 9-0 drubbing earlier in the season(2-0 loss at home)' Was lucky enough to be there, made a lot of friends that day. Weirdly enough on April 7th 1991, we beat Everton 4-1 at Wembley in the ZDS(skoda/carboot sale) Cup, which i believe(stand to be corrected) our only senior piece of silverware, play-offs not incl etc

We were some of the first through the turnstile on to the holt end, it was my first visit and I couldn’t believe what a massive terrace it was. Great memories, but fook me, where’s that 30 years gone?? As Basil Fawlty said whooooooosh!! What was that?? That was your life mate!!

Just watched the extended highlights, I had forgotten many incidents from the game. Have to say that was a great save by Nigel Martyn in extra time from John Barnes downward header, a big moment in the game. Such an explosion of raw passion from the players and fans alike.
