Now whatever else might be wrong in Ecuador its president's comments on what plenty of women tend to or don't tend to view as 'harassment' was nothing more than plain speaking and accurate.

Some media organizations are reporting that he's 'apologised' as their headlines, which is misleading as he only clarified to repeat what he originally said in the first place...the apology was only for those who misunderstood him...as the usual suspects were misrepresenting what he had said.

What he stated was just a fact of life......but if reality isn't politically correct then the gate keepers in the mainstream media and society at large want to close you down.

He is partially correct but it goes further. There is also a status element beyond that.
Women will report 'harassment' from men who they think are below them, irrespective of their features.

It's just part of the game of life. Women asserting their power and making choices, sometimes at the expense of those who seek their affections.

Yep, there is the media narrative, of the woman as the oppressed victim....the underdog fighting against a male patriarchy.

And then there is the real world for most people.....where men and women both have advantages and disadvantages and where life isn't easy for any but a few.....Anyone who looks at 'dating data' from dating companies can see what utter tripe the 'official' narratives are.

What I tend to find is that the individual will make the choices that advantage them the most personally or their group.....and then make up BS rationalizations to justify it.

The well worn truism comes to mind.

That two wrongs don't make a right!

What he said was wrong.

Any women making an issue over such things is also wrong.

What he said has statistical evidence and isn't wrong.

It's as simple as that.
