I get the feeling SP might be being clever in a quite s***ty way - Roy won't walk till summer, too much of a pro and a gent, and will keep us up at low cost playing turgid and safety first, he'll get so peed off he'll leave in May in comes cut-price Doogie - it's about holding on in the prem till new owners come in, hopefully we'll be able to replace Meyer, Benteke and the other over-paid ones and there'll be a few more like Pierrick coming through, the squad needs streamlining but hopefully that process doesn't relegate us, if they can't arrange the Zaha sale and the bottom line additions to the squad we need by the summer (esp right back) then the anti Parrish brigade will have some proper ammo, we're doing more than OK but anyone with a pair of eyes should see how precarious our situation is. I'm confident we'll stay up but I'd check our relegation odds - 20/1 and I'd consider a shilling or two - I'm guessing more like 8/1 or 10s - I'll take in oddschecker.

You can’t get much more streamlined than a 23 man squad when we should have 25. It’s a total embarrassment and highlights the all round mismanagement of the club. I agree however we should be streamlining salaries and as you say, the really expensive ones Zaha, Sakho, Benteke all need to go but they must be replaced. The jury is still out on Meyer and besides, his salary is apparently not as high as some think ie £60k rather than £100k

Who needs goals anyway? ... they just interrupt momentum of the game.
