but, why a Ukraine airliner ?

Either it was just the one that happened to be up there when the idiot involved pushed the button.

Or

There was a person of interest aboard that flight.....

I tend to believe them when they say it's was an accident.

Still, when the US shot down an Iranian passenger plane back in 1988.....How do you think the Iranians treated it?....and indeed the left of that time?

The willingness to accept a double standard for emotive reasons overcomes the rational objectivity of some....who on other topics you'd probably listen to.

You wouldn't even say this if you didn't know it is was largely true.

No .trump finished it.
If Iran had accepted that a terrorist had been blown up and not had to give it the big I am then this wouldn't have happened.
Pride is the reason and nothing to do with trump.
Are you actually not blaming the Iranians.
No doubt your mate Jeremy will pin it on trump and not his best mates in Iran.
This may actually create a safer world and sadly the collateral damage will be these poor people.
Often the case historically.

I think was a mistake rather like the shooting down of the Dutch airliner in the Ukraine.

My guess is like that incident the decision was taking by a fairly low level officer who didn't have the common sense to contact his superiors first. Or if he did they didn't use their common sense.

The worry for me about regimes like Iran and the Russian backed rebels is the lack of control and command. Would you trust a shopping mall guard with a gun?

In the case of Iran would the revolutionary guard even bother talking to the Iranian elected government before taking that decision, probably not. They see themselves as a power and not subservient to the elected officials.

Let us hope some good comes from this.

Could you just imagine if this dropkick had actually become PM? What a f***ing loser, had the audacity to call it ' A Crash' & the Labour Party wonder why they lost the last GE. A truly awful, awful man at worst a naive fool at best a traitor to this country.

And hes still at the helm.
Couldn't make it up and in any other walk of life he would be gone.

Corbyn has praised Iran for doing the right thing and admitting they shot down a plane.

They were caught red handed and it still took days for them to admit it.

They killed over a hundred people & some are saying that their government should be trusted with nuclear capabilities!

Good to see student protests against the government taking place.
