Players like Mitchell (LB crisis),Pierrick has been on the bench and probably deserves some minutes given the injury crisis. Other names include: Woods, Daly, Tavares. I feel that if you ease some of these players in they could do well. AWB got a chance due to someone getting injured and performed well in their absence and the rest is history. I feel some of these players could really do well the two most promising seem to be Mitchell and Pierrick.

Considering that Palace never really have big transfers in terms of spending a lot should the youth be given more minutes? Being on the bench is one thing but playing is another

I'm sure Richard Shaw might have a few words to say on this. Clearly he didn't think so and he would have the knowledge on them. Sometimes fortune favours the brave.
“ [T]here are known knowns; there are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns; that is to say there are things that, we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know. ” |

Speaking entirely as a layman on the matter.....I'm not so sure that Richard Shaw has been treated that well. Perhaps he was a bit too truthful to youngsters and not one for warm words. Regardless I've seen nothing to suggest that he wasn't correct in his comments.
