Watch out on the M27 just after Portsmouth heading west as there are variable speed cameras set at 50 mph and they are active.

If coming down the M3
They are also at junction 4 as you approach Southampton airport

Makes for an expensive day if you get caught out.

Come down the A3 towards Portsmouth
Then M27 to junction 8
Watch the speed cameras

When you get nearer the ground park up in the industrial estate on the right just before the itchen bridge
Always loads of parking there
SO18 1QN is the postcode of the industrial estate
Then it’s a 15 min walk to the ground

Last month I approached Southampton from the east on the M27 and on a large stretch of the M27 there was a speed restriction on account of roadworks.I cannot recall if it was 50MPH or an average speed of 50 MPH.Camera signs on this stretch of motorway.

There is also 1 speed camera 30mph just as you go down the hill at bitterne just as you go under the bridge a few miles before the ground where loads of people get caught out
